Description

Begin in Cape Town and visit Betty’s Bay to see African penguins, followed by whale watching in Hermanus and wine tasting at Benguela Cove. Travel to Cape Agulhas, the southernmost tip of Africa, for your first overnight stay.

On day two, explore the town of Swellendam and enjoy a safari at Botlierskop Game Reserve to spot elephants, lions, buffaloes, rhinos, and other wildlife. Spend the evening in Mossel Bay.

Continue along the Garden Route with stops at Wilderness and the Knysna Heads, including a sunset cruise on Knysna Lagoon, staying overnight in Knysna.

Day four includes a hike in Robberg Nature Reserve and beach time at Plettenberg Bay. On day five, adrenaline seekers can take the bungee jump at Bloukrans Bridge (own expense) before touring Port Elizabeth. The journey continues with visits to Port Alfred and East London, staying overnight in East London.

Explore the Wild Coast region with visits to Mvezo, Nelson Mandela's birthplace, the Mthatha Museum, and stay overnight in Mthatha. Day eight visits the Mandela Capture Site, Howick Falls, and continues to Durban.
