Begin your journey in Durban, a coastal city with a vibrant urban culture. Your first stop is Phezulu Safari, where you'll explore an African village, watch traditional dances, and visit the Reptile Park. Travel along the Wild Coast to Mthatha and visit the Nelson Mandela Museum, dedicated to South Africa’s iconic leader.
On day 2, visit Mvezo, Nelson Mandela’s birthplace, then continue to East London to relax on the beach or explore local landmarks.
Day 3 includes a coastal drive to Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha) and a game drive at Addo Elephant National Park, home to the Big 5 animals.
On day 4, hike at Robberg Nature Reserve near Plettenberg Bay, known for its coastal trails and marine life. Visit Plettenberg Bay’s beaches and optionally visit Bloukrans Bridge for the world’s highest bungy jump (own expense).
Day 5 takes you to Knysna on the Garden Route. See Knysna Heads, where the lagoon meets the Indian Ocean, and explore the waterfront’s shops and restaurants.
On day 6, visit Hermanus, a town famous for seasonal Southern Right whale watching from shore or boat tours. Experience the coastal scenery and town atmosphere.
Day 7 involves a short Hermanus tour, followed by wine tasting at Benguela Cove Wine Estate with five different wines. End your journey at Betty’s Bay to view African Penguins before arriving in Cape Town.
