Description
The tour begins at Leopard's Rock, located on a rocky incline overlooking the Mzimkhulu River Gorge.
Next, visit Oribi Gorge Nature Reserve, a scenic area offering excellent hiking opportunities. The reserve is home to various antelope species, including the elusive oribi. It features forests, rivers, rapids, and a 24-kilometer gorge carved by the Umzimkulwana River. Wildlife includes leopards, baboons, small antelope, and a rich birdlife with five kingfisher and seven eagle species.
Oribi Gorge offers adventure activities such as the Wild Swing and Wild Slide. The Wild Swing is the highest big swing in the world, where you leap off a waterfall and swing over 100 meters above the gorge floor. You can also walk on the 48-meter suspension bridge, suspended 100 meters above the gorge, with views of Lehr’s Waterfall, Baboon’s Castle, and the swing.
