  • Enjoy a Safari and Culture day tour with short travel time

Description

The tour visits Tala Private Game Reserve, a 3000-hectare rhino sanctuary hosting over 370 bird species and large animals including rhinos, giraffes, hippos, and elands. A guide will drive you in a closed vehicle around the reserve, offering wildlife insights and close views of rhinos.

Next, visit the African Raptor Centre within Tala, home to over 100 non-releasable birds of prey from more than 35 species. The centre provides safe enclosures for eagles, owls, vultures, falcons, and hawks that cannot survive in the wild.

Afterwards, explore the Valley of 1000 Hills at PheZulu Cultural Village and Reptile Park. Experience a traditional Zulu homestead with thatched huts arranged around cattle enclosures. A local guide will explain Zulu cultural practices from the 1800s and lead an educational and entertaining Zulu dancing show featuring traditional songs and attire.

The Reptile Park offers a guided tour with knowledgeable staff presenting crocodiles, alligators, snakes, tortoises, spiders, and iguanas. Guests may hold some animals briefly for photos, including small crocodiles and a Burmese python. This part of the tour is family-friendly.
