Directions to Havana Grill and Wine Bar
The northern part of Durban's Golden Mile is a sought after destination for tourists and locals alike. The beautiful sandy beaches are just perfect for sunbathing, safe swimming, surfing, kayaking and so much more. The area is synonymous with laid-back pleasure. Just north of the last beachfront hotels and apartment buildings is the Suncoast Casino and Entertainment World. An unforgettable beachfront silhouette, the pastel shades of its art deco-style buildings add a dash of Durban holiday flair. The 26 hectare complex includes restaurants, bars, a cinema, and its own private beach, which has been rated as one of the top three in South Africa. But when its time for a break from the casino, a sunny day at the beach, or perhaps just after a movie, the Havana Grill and Wine Bar is a superior restaurant and grill room, which somehow puts the finishing touch to your day of pleasure.
Situated within the Suncoast complex and with extensive safe parking, the Havana Grill and Wine Bar offers a dining experience with a difference. This world class restaurant delivers the best of both worlds. Dine inside and enjoy the eclectic ambience which combines a touch of Cuba - cigar coloured leather seating and racks of books and wines - with modern, minimalistic lines and an international flair. Or sit on the verandah overlooking the golden beaches, and savour the 180 degree views from Umhlanga Rocks in the north to the Bluff in the south. If you are a meat and seafood lover, this is the ultimate destination.
The Havana Grill and Wine Bar is a restaurant well known for its beef and lamb, which are cut and stored in separate preparation areas. Another notable item is the Grain-fed Super Beef, which is hung on the rail for up to 8 days, cut and then vacuum packed for 21 days to age. Also on offer are mouth-watering prawns, langoustines and crayfish (when available), as well as fresh line-fish.
But its outstanding food and extensive menu are just part of the deal. The Havana Grill and Wine Bar has an impressive wine list with some of the best vintages available. The mellow Cuban influence is confirmed by the availability and sale of imported Cuban cigars, and there is a designated smoking area to enjoy them! Non smoking areas are completely unaffected, and there is a private dining room, with various function and conference packages available.
Open for lunch from noon until 17h00, and dinner from 18h00 until close (last order at 22h00), and with warm, friendly service, the Havana Grill and Wine Bar offers an unforgettable dining experience.
