The Saint James on Venice

The Saint James on Venice has 14 rooms and is situated in the beautiful suburb of Morningside, Durban. The hotel used to be a home which was built in 1890’s. It has been beautifully renovated and restored and much of the original architectural ethos has been kept in mind leading to a feeling of updated “old fashion” charm.
The hotel has a restaurant which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and is open to the public. High tea is served from 11h00 – 15h00 daily and is enjoyed in the beautifully landscaped gardens of the hotel. Our food is an eclectic array of the freshest ingredients, we have our own herb garden at the hotel and use it daily.
Attention to detail is of utmost importance to us and this element is what sets us apart from the rest; from daily newspapers delivery and freshly baked biscuits placed in each room upon arrival (with complimentary tea and coffee station) followed by “turndown truffles” every night , and personal extra touches like “flowers at turndown “ from our own garden (frangipani tree and bougainvillea) we strive to please all of our guests’ special needs. We would like our guests to feel like they are home, away from home.
There is a private boardroom that can seat up to 30 people. The boardroom is also ideal for private functions such as lunches, dinners or product launches.
